MOBJack & Jill
MOBJack
MOB Jack and MOB Jill are made from coveralls with PVC pellets stitched in for ballast. We added sea boots, a soccer ball for a head, a harness, a hat and a life jacket. MOB Jack & MOB Jill love to volunteer for drills.
Sherri Ivy is the NSA Captain of MOB Drills. Sherri organizes demonstrations and drills, and makes information and instruction available to the NSA members who need it. Sherri wants to make sure that NSA women in particular know how to recover MOB victims, and that NSA vessels have the right equipment. Sherri sets a good example by performing MOB drills often.

Recovery of an unconscious MOB is difficult without practice.  When the person can swim to your Lifesling, climb into your Jon Buoy, or climb up your stern ladder, all you have to do is maintain sight of the victim and get the boat close enough. If the victim is unconscious, your chances of success depend upon how you have prepared and practiced.
Procedures:
These steps should be drilled into everyone on your crew, over and over and over, as the Lifesling Overboard Rescue System Mantra:
1. Man Overboard!
2. Quick Stop
3. Deploy Lifesling
4. Circle Victim
5. Quick Stop
6. Drop Sails
7. Pull Victim in/cleat off
8. Rig block & tackle
9. Hoist Victim Aboard
